Hrithik Roshan, who has been holidaying abroad with his sons, returned home to Mumbai on Sunday. And the first thing on his to-do list upon his return is to watch Salman Khan’s latest Id blockbuster Sultan. It seems Salman, who has been especially fond of Hrithik even before the latter made had made his debut, is arranging a special screening of Sultan for him.
An excited Hrithik says, “I can’t wait to see Sultan. Even though I have been out of the country, I’ve been on the phone with Salman about Sultan ever since we met in Madrid for an awards function. I missed the screening that he had for his friends before the release. But he promised me my own screening the minute I returned to India.”
Hrithik and Salman go back a long way. Hrithik was an assistant director when his father Rakesh Roshan directed Salman in Karan Arjun. Years later when Hrithik decided to become an actor, Salman personally trained him to get physically fit. He had even got Hrithik’s photos clicked and circulated them among his close filmmaker friends.
Recently, some reports floated in the media about a tiff between Hrithik and Salman at an international awards function. Apparently, Hrithik needed a female dancer for his performance and reportedly, when Salman suggested the name of his friend Daisy Shah to partner Hrithik on stage, the latter turned down the offer. This, suggest reports, incensed Salman to no end.
When asked about it, Hrithik seems exasperated and amused at the same time. “Is this what was being written while I was away It’s pure nonsense! Like I said, Salman and I are in touch constantly.”
