Shraddha Kapoor to play a teenager

While it is common knowledge that Shraddha Kapoor plays Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar in Apoorva Lakhia’s Haseena, not many know that she plays a 15-year-old for nearly 30 minutes in the film. And, she does carry off the look of the teen character without prosthetics.

“The prosthetics will come in later, when Shraddha has to look 40 and 50 years old. She is a small built person, and so the makers will pad her up, make her look tall, bulky and imposing. It was the young 15-year-old Haseena that the film’s director was worried about. You see, if he had cast any other actress, he would have had to pick a child actor to play Haseena. Shraddha took on the challenge of looking 15. In the trial shoot, she pulled it off effortlessly. That’s the advantage of being petite,” says a source close to the project.
