Shruti Haasan paired with Indian American actor Manu Narayan

From Dhanush in Tamil Nadu to Manu Narayan in New York — as far as co-stars go, Shruti Haasan seems to have made quite a long journey in her short career.

Shruti, who will be seen with her dad and legendary actor Kamal Haasan in her next tri-lingual film directed by Rajeev Kumar, will be paired with New York-based Indian American actor Manu Narayan as her romantic interest.

Manu shot to fame in 2004 when he played the lead in Adrew Lloyd Webber’s Bombay Dreams (which featured A R Rahman’s music).

Interestingly, Manu and Shruti share a common passion for music and singing. Ask Kamal Haasan why he went ahead with Manu for the role and he says, “Because he suits the character and looks well-matched with Shruti.”
