Sonam Kapoor had a fantastic end to 2015 with the humungous success of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The start of 2016 couldn’t get any better as Ram Madhvani’s Neerja opened to great box office numbers and was well appreciated by critics as well. Many close friends of the real Neerja Bhanot too felt that the Sonam’s performance brought Neerja back to life on the silver screen.
Neerja has managed to cross over Rs 50 crore at the box office, a figure which is deemed remarkable for a heroine-oriented film. And now to soak it all, Sonam Kapoor, who has done whatever it takes even after the film released, has finally decided to take a break.
The actress has flown to Goa for a short holiday. A source said, “The vacation was much needed for her.
Playing a complex character, and the whole promotional drill does take a toll on you. She is going to be back soon but for now she is away to soak in all the success.”
