Kabir Khan has once again locked horns with CBFC Chairman Pahlaj Nihalani. Kabir had recently made remarks about the supposed hurdles he had to go through to get a censor certificate for his movie, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and this has not gone down well with Pahlaj. Not one to take things sitting down, Pahlaj has reacted to the remarks and says, “He has said that we had a problem with the film’s title, but that is not true. In fact, the Censor Board loved the film so much that we went out of way to make sure that the film gets released without a hitch.”

Nihalani says that the CBFC had even set aside guidelines for the larger good. “Bajrangi Bhaijaan had a lot of problematic moments and dialogues. But we decided to break the queue and get a certificate for it out of turn, because the film had a very positive and powerful message. The CBFC truly believed that it was a special film. And he is saying that we created hurdles for it ”

He further retorts, “In fact, there were several problematic anti-Pakistan dialogues in his other film, Phantom. We had to make him take it all out. He isn’t talking about it because that film was a flop.”
