Life coach, fitness expert and author Jasmin Waldmann’s book beautifully captures a man’s journey towards a fit body and happiness.

Jasmin takes readers on a journey of self-discovery and eventual transformation through the life of Amit to help them realise that change is as easy as one wants it to be.

Amit malhotra, a 35-year-old businessman feels that he is at the top of the game, until a next door neighbour’s daughter calls him an uncle.

A banker who loves to eat and work, the remark spirals him towards retrospection and soon enough, when a younger colleague succumbs to the pressures of modern life, he, despite having serious reservations, ends up at the office of a life coach,

Waldmann, I suppose, being a life coach herself, perfectly captures the mind of a man living the ‘proverbial good life’ who is struggling to accept change for a better tomorrow.

Jasmin takes readers on a journey of self-discovery and eventual transformation through the life of Amit to help them realise that change is as easy as one wants it to be.

Shocked into reality by two incidents which come quick in succession, the gym-hating (we learn he has quit going to gym quite a few times), food-loving middle-aged couch potato realizes he needs to mend his ways before a short life becomes even shorter.

The book, thankfully, is not preachy. Neither is it a dull read which might deter someone from reading, what at first glance, feels like a ‘self-help’ manual.

Interestingly, the author has actually jotted down the journey of Amit from ‘Prologue’ to ‘Recognise’, ‘Repair’, ‘Rebuild’ and ‘Resurrect’ among others.

Thus, what the author has craftily enough, actually managed to do is, chronicle a journey that actually engrosses the reader to go along with Malhotra, get exasperated at his pig-headedness at times, wish he makes the right choices at other and basically roots for him to achieve his goals.

The way the author, through the book, teaches people, grappling to exist in this fast paced modern world to just really ‘live’ is commendable to say the least.

From showing characters that go through a metamorphosis, to winning over demons in life, Change Me makes for a riveting read in human psychology and what it takes for a person in his quest towards a healthy, all encompassing, fulfilling future. A must read for anyone attempting to bring about a positive transformation to their lives.
