Shares of Tata Steel closed 4.26 per cent up at Rs 600 on the BSE on Monday.
Tata Steel gave no update on the future of the rest of its UK assets including Britain's biggest steel plant at Port Talbot in Wales.
New Delhi: Tata Steel on Monday posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 921.09 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2017.
However, the company had posted consolidated net loss of Rs 3,183.07 crore in April-June quarter of FY'16, Tata Steel said in a filing to BSE.
The company's consolidated total revenue from operations during the April-June quarter increased to Rs 30,973.3 crore as against Rs 25,970.7 crore in the year-ago period.
Shares of Tata Steel closed 4.26 per cent up at Rs 600 on the BSE on Monday.
