What Amazon is offering under Great Indian Sale

Mumbai: Amazon, second largest e-commerce player in India, kickstarted today its four days' Great Indian Sale that will last through May 11-14. The sale by Amazon will be followed another customer-luring sale days by Flipkart as part of its ten-year celebrations.

Amazon India is offering up to 80 per cent discounts on home appliances, accessories, kitchen appliances, home appliances and electronics items. Besides, mobile phones and their accessories have also been put on sale with huge concessions in their prices.

"Products on offer at incremental discounts during the four-day sale include major brands like Adidas, UCB, Levi's, Samsung, LG, Fastrack and Bombay Dyeing, among others, a report in The Economic Times said.

The report added the e-commerce player has put a 43-inch television display up for sale for less than Rs 25,000, a price substantially lower than its actual market value.

The company is offering a 36 per cent discount on Voltas AC at Rs 27,990 that is much cheaper than the market price. Shoppers can also step on up to 65 per cent cut on footwear by United Colors of Benetton and Red Tape.

"Other hot offers include American Tourister bags for less than Rs 800 and over Rs 8,000 off on LG 32 inch televisions -- some brands are also offering 43 inch variants for less than Rs 25,000," the report added.

Amazon Prime, a faster delivery paid service, members are getting an early access to best deals under a 30-minute window and are also getting free home deliver on select items.

Smartphone lovers covered under Amazon Prime would also get huge discounts on top mobile phone brands like Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung. Prime members would also get a 10 per cent cut in price on Amazon gift cards until the stock lasts.
