Odhisa eyes investment in steel sector
Odisha government on Tuesday held talks with over 70 companies and invited them to invest in the state's downstream ecosystem.
New Delhi: In order to promote investments in downstream steel and stainless steel sectors, Odisha government on Tuesday held talks with over 70 companies and invited them to invest in the state’s downstream ecosystem, assuring them of best-in- class infrastructure.
The meeting was attended by several ancillary firms from Odisha as well as states like Jharkhand, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Maharashtra, according to a statement by the state government.
Odisha, industries department, principal secretary Sanjeev Chopra said that the state has put in place a comprehensive strategy to accelerate the growth of downstream sector with committed feedstock as well as common facilities.
