Air India to introduce new flights this summer

Air India officials said the number of flights on Delhi–Bhopal–Delhi will be increased from present 14 flights per week to 20 flights.

New Delhi: From adding more seats to offering attractive promotional airfare, Air India is going for a major expansion plan to meet the heavy demand on major domestic and international routes during the summer holidays.

The airlines said that from June 1 it will offer 3,500 more seats per week on Mumbai–Dubai– Mumbai route and from June 2, it will offer 3500 more number of seats per week on Delhi–Dubai–Delhi routes by operating two more new flights through B787 Dreamliner aircraft.

“Through these flights, Air India will offer complete Dreamliner experience with more seat pitch, more legroom, more free baggage allowance, mood lights with bigger windows to have complete view of outside world and gourmet Indian food from renowned flight kitchen,” Air India said in a statement.

The airline is also offering one way economy class promotional fare of `7,777 from both Delhi and Mumbai to Dubai for sale for travel up to July 31, 2019.

On the domestic front, Air India is introducing new flights on Bhopal–Pune–Bhopal route and Varanasi-Chennai-Varanasi from June 5, 2019.

Air India officials said the number of flights on Delhi–Bhopal–Delhi will be increased from present 14 flights per week to 20 flights.

The airline will also increase its flights on Delhi–Raipur–Delhi from existing 7 flights to 14 flights per week, Delhi–Bangalore–Delhi from present 34 flights to 39 flights per week, Delhi–Amritsar –Delhi from existing 20 to  27 flights per week, Chennai–Ahmedabad–Chennai from existing 2 flights to 8 flights per week, Chennai–Kolkata–Chennai from 7 flights to 11 flights per week, Delhi–Vadodara–Delhi from 7 flights to 14 flights per week and Mumbai–Vizag–Mumbai from existing 7 flights to 12 flights per week.
