Central excise collection rises 26.3 pc in Jan: Adhia

Mumbai: The Government on Friday came up with statistics on central excise collections in January 2016.

Revenue Secretary Hasmukh Adhia said there was a 26.3 per cent increase in net collection for central excise during month of January 2017 compared to corresponding month last year.

“During January 2017, the net indirect tax grew at the rate of 16.9 per cent compared to corresponding month last year,” Adhia said.

According to Adhia tax collection figures up to January 2017 show consistent trend of healthy growth.
