Check out mygov.in for Modi govt's achievements in 4 years

By making available its achievements online and over mobile phones, it certainly now brings government and citizens closer.

New Delhi: If numbers don’t lie then the success of PM Narendra Modi lies in statistics. Beyond the noisy drumbeats accompanying the celebrations marking the fourth anniversary of the Modi rule, one has to just click on mygov.in to get a real-time overview of India under transition.

The government’s dashboard tracking transformation in 48 sectors during the last 48 months will put even corporate portals to shame. From every loan distributed under the Mudra scheme for entrepreneurs to each LED bulb sold, everything gets updated instantly on mygov.in where anybody can check the government’s health.

This is in addition to the media blitzkrieg launched by the government to highlight its achievements over the last four years since May 2014.

Providing real time data on outcomes of policy actions could be part of the Modi government’s multi-pronged strategy to reach out to citizens along with its report card to convince them for electing it for a second term in the general elections next year.

BJP chief Amit Shah has already kicked off the party’s reach-out programme, targeting to meet at least 1 lakh eminent people from the society to mobilise support in favour of the government. Party MPs and MLAs have also joined the campaign ahead of next year’s crucial election.

“The BJP has got very good strategists. It will certainly do everything to protect its turf. So far, they have successfully won voters’ support in states going to polls. It seems totally ready for the big battle,” said a political watcher.

Ever since it came to power, the Narendra Modi led government has been putting focus on technology to ensure delivery of services to genuine beneficiaries.

Using the biometric identity Aadhaar, it has plugged the loopholes in delivery infrastructure. By making available its achievements online and over mobile phones, it certainly now brings government and citizens closer.
