New Delhi: Gold futures traded lower by Rs 34 at Rs 29,130 per 10 grams on Thursday as speculators trimmed their positions amid a weakening global trend.

Gold for delivery in October dropped Rs 34 or 0.12 per cent to Rs 29,130 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 182 lots at the Multi Commodity Exchange.

The precious metal for delivery in far-month December too shed Re one at Rs 29,245 per 10 grams in 2 lots.

Market analysts said the fall in gold futures was mostly in tune with a weak trend overseas.

Meanwhile, gold prices fell 0.19 per cent to USD 1,287.80 an ounce in Singapore.
