We have explained in detail all the security features of the newly minted currency notes on our website. We have nothing more to add to that,” an official at RBI said.
As soon as the Prime Minister announced the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes on Tuesday, rumours about the issue of Rs 2000 notes with state of the art indigenous nano technology went viral on various social media platform describing the government’s move as revolutionary.
