Agra college publicly apologises for fake Arjun Tendulkar picture
The boy is believed to have loaded Arjun Tendulkar's photograph from the internet.
Ankur Inter College in Agra will investigate the cause of the goof up when its student Arjun Singh tried to appear in the examination hall with a ticket which had Sachin Tendulkar's son, Arjun's photograph.
We are investigating the issue. The boy could not be allowed to appear in the examination hall. Surprisingly, the student and his parents (father Ramniwas and mother Shrimati Devi) are not at home after the episode and are untraceable today,-" Ankur Mishra, the husband of Principal Manju Mishra said. Manju is out of the town to attend a marriage and her husband, who also works at the college, was initially reluctant to speak. However, when pressed further, he agreed to speak to this reporter.
Ours is a higher secondary college (arts faculty). It was the first day of the examinations today. The other students appeared for Hindi paper, while this boy had to skip the paper. Hindi is a compulsory subject and any student who fails in this paper can't be promoted,-" he added. -"The student's identity card is not attested by the school authorities and not signed by any staff member of the institution. It only bears the college rubber stamp.-"
The boy is believed to have loaded Arjun Tendulkar's photograph from the internet. We are investigating on whether any member of our college instigated the student to do this. The name of our college is surely spoiled. I publicly apologise to Sachin Tendulkar and his son for this incident,-" he added.
Amar Nath Varma, the Director of UP Board, when contacted in Lucknow said, -"If it is a genuine mistake by the student and if he turns up with his own real photograph and attested by his College, we can certainly allow him to appear for the remaining papers.”
