Former India opener Arun Lal is all set to resume his career as cricket commentator on Saturday.

Former India opener Arun Lal is all set to resume his career as cricket commentator on Saturday. The 61-year-old, who was diagnosed with the jaw cancer and underwent a 13-hour long surgery in February this year had to take a break from his work. “I feel much better now and am doing commentary on Saturday. It is for the CAB Super League final to be played with the pink ball,” he said from Kolkata.

“I am very positive and determined to get back to normal as fast as I can,” he added.

“The doctors at Tata Memorial Center (Kolkata) have performed a miracle. I am looking great with very little distortion,” Lal said.

Dr. P. Arun, who was a part of the team that performed surgery on Arun, appreciated his grit. “His positive attitude must be an encouragement to all patients battling cancer,” Arun said.
