Recently, in Ranchi, MS Dhoni was chased by a young girl on her scooty. As he drove from his home to the airport after India’s defeat to New Zealand in the ODI match held at his hometown, fan Aaradhya caught up with him for a photograph.
She chased the vehicle on her scooty all through the roads of Ranchi till she caught up with him at the airport! And what’s more, she had her selfie with the captain!
The staff at the Birsa Munda Airport in Ranchi were not surprised when they heard that her request was ‘granted’ by Team India’s celeb captain.
“The incident took place just outside the terminal building on a public place, and we didn’t hear of it till social media was flooded with this news,” says Rakesh Singh, officer On Special Duty (OSD), speaking exclusively from Ranchi.
He adds, “Interestingly, Dhoni is a very simple man and never refuses to oblige such requests. During his arrival in the city or during departure, he never asks for extra security arrangements. Whatever airport security is provided to the public, is the same for Dhoni.”
“He always obliges the requests of our staff too — be it a high graded officer or a junior level staff,” he elaborates.
