Around 250 personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force, who will be deployed at the heritage line of the Delhi Metro, will be trained in “soft skills” so that they can be more passenger-friendly. CISF officials said the training will help the CISF personnel to deal with situations where there is a public interface. “This training will help them to deal with the with passengers in a more friendly manner, especially tourists, at this heritage line. They will be trained to deal with the passengers in more dignified manner if, in case, a passenger is not cooperating or unable to understand any instruction or rule to be followed. Our main motto is to conduct this training to enhancing human skills,” said a senior CISF official. We do have our own trained and quailed trainers who are trained.

CISF sources said that earlier the training has been outsourced to private companies and individuals, including human resource executives, professors and psychologists. Now we do have our own soft skills trainers.

According to CISF officials, the in-house training programme is held for the personnel in batches. “We have already deployed personnel who underwent training in soft skills to the Akshardham Metro station,” an official said.

The much-anticipated heritage line will take thousands of commuters to the centuries-old Mughalera walled city and add three new stations to the network. The new 5.1-km-long stretch will connect ITO to Kashmere Gate via Jama Masjid, De-lhi Gate and Red Fort.
