Staff from municipal secretary’s office asked everyone other then those who authorised to sit in the House to take seat in the visitors’ gallery.

Mr Goel and Leader of the House, Vijay Prakash Pandey, requested mayor Sanjeev Nayyar to not allow any unauthorised persons inside the house during any meeting. Despite unanimous requests from treasury and Opposition benches, Mr Nayyar said that supporters and family members of four councillors were allowed inside the House for five minutes.

As soon as the supporters were allowed inside meeting hall after completion of oath ceremony, they went to the well of the House, which was objected to by the some members.

Mr Goel said that some of the women councillors of the Congress were pushed and abused.

“Situation was completely out of control and it happened only due to the mayor. I am writing to the mayor, demanding appropriate action on the issue,” added Mr Goel.
