A group of eve-teasers attacked a young girl and her male friend with beer bottles, leaving them injured in Amar Colony early on Monday.
The incident took place around 1 am, said a friend of the girl who first took to Twitter to share the ordeal with a bleeding picture of the female victim as the police reached the spot after half-an-hour of the SOS call.
“He had come to drop her from a party they had both attended at Greater Kailash. Two boys were consuming liquor in the open near the house where the girl was to be dropped by the friend. They passed some lewd remarks on her. She retorted by threatening to call the cops. This was the trigger for them to call other boys and they attacked the two,” said the friend.
The girl alleged that they were both attacked with one beer bottle each on their head.
“She was pinned to the ground and they kept assaulting her. The boy somehow managed to free himself and made a call to the police. But even after waiting for half-an-hour, no police vehicle or personnel arrived at the scene,” said the friend adding that the accused fled as the friends kept waiting for the police to arrive.
