The girl has alleged that she was made to work in the house for from 6 am to 10 pm, and the agreed salary of '4,000 per month was never paid to her. It also said that Dhir is making contradictory claims about the cause the deep cut on the victim’s head, stating that she had told a doctor at a private clinic that had treated the girl’s head injury in July, that she had been “assaulted by her brother.” Metropolitan magistrate Gomati Manocha, while hearing the arguments on the bail plea of Dhir, directed the police to probe the conditions of other girls, who was employed through the placement agency that had provided a maid to the accused. Dhir’s counsel Rudra Kahlon sought his client’s bail on the grounds that the police probe is almost complete.
