NGOs put 1 lakh reward for information on dog killer
Even after five days, the Hauz Khas police has failed to arrest a serial dog killer who slaughtered three puppies at the Green Park Metro station on Friday.
Fearing threat to their pets, many pet lovers and NGOs working for animal rights have demanded arrest of the dog killer at the earliest. NGO Humane Society
International (HSI) and India and Fauna police have offered a joint reward of Rs 1 lakh for information leading to the identification of the dog killer.
The managing trustee of Fauna police and also a member of the Delhi state advisory board for animal welfare, Abhinav Srihan, said for the past one month, they are getting complaints of disappearance of dogs from the Gautam Nagar, Panchsheel Park and Hauz Khas area.
“We have circulated the CCTV grab of the killer on various social media platforms and are also helping the police distribute pamphlets regarding identification of the dog killer. But we are unhappy with the police investigation because five days have passed, but the killer has not been arrested,” Mr Srihan said.
“The killer could harm any person or animal, he should be in jail for committing such heinous crime,” he added.
