An Ola cab driver was arrested on Thursday for allegedly molesting and misbehaving with an additional sessions judge of the Tis Hazari court in North Delhi’s Roop Nagar five days ago.

The accused driver, identified as Sandeep, had abused the judge and made obscene gestures be-sides throwing her things out of the taxi after an argument between them over her request to wait for a few minutes at a market.

“The said driver has been blocked from our platform with immediate effect until further investigation. We will take all the necessary actions and will extend our full support to the authorities in resolving the matter,” Ola said in a statement.

In her complaint, the judge also mentioned that the response of the police control room vehicle was delayed and even after a vehicle arrived at the spot, it left to attend another call, referring her and her orderly to the local police station, i.e. Roop Nagar.

The judge said in her complaint that she had left the court premises at around 6.40 pm with an orderly in a cab she had booked.

“When I reached Kamla Nagar, I requested the driver to wait for a few minutes. He initially agreed to my request, but started arguing later. He asked me to get out of the car and was violent and made gestures. He threw my precious articles — two laptop bags, briefcase and other bags on the road in full public view,” said the judge in her complaint.

In another case, an Australian national of Indian origin accused a security guard, working in the housing society she lives in, of molesting her on Tuesday night in a compliant filed at the Malviya Nagar police station.

The police identified the accused as Pintu. The Australian, 36, was involved in a fight with the security guard on Tuesday night when she was returning to her flat. She claimed the guard refused to open the main gate of the society and let her enter. They had a verbal fight over the issue. Thereafter, she called the police. A PCR reached the spot and detained the security guard. Later, she filed a compliant against the security guard. The police filed a FIR under IPC Section 354 and arrested the accused.
