Rahul Gandhi’s IndiGo flight delayed by 45 mins
An IndiGo flight in which Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was travelling was delayed by around 45 minutes at IGI airport on Wednesday morning. Sources said the flight got delayed due to last minutes security procedure followed by the security agencies, airlines and other concerned agencies. Sources said that more than 100 passengers were on board in this flight.
“Flight 6E-308, Delhi to Varanasi was scheduled to fly at around 8.55 am on Monday morning. The Congress vice-president was also on the board. The SPG and other security agencies were doing routine security procedure and safety checking. The concerned agencies asked the airlines to provide the pilot’s license and documents and fuel samples as per guidelines issued by the DGCA”, said a senior airport official on the condition of anonymity.
“Such incidents happen due to the lack of coordination among the agencies/airlines and authorities,” said the official.
