Why did Amrita Singh opposite out of Mubaraka?

When Amrita Singh’s name came up for Anees Bazmi’s Mubaraka opposite Anil Kapoor, those associated with the film were rather excited about the prospect of bringing together the Chameli ki Shaadi duo. Turns out the excitement was short-lived since Amrita has now pulled out of the project. While the actress cited dates as an issue, those close to her inform that she’d rather pool her energies towards the launch of her daughter, Sara Khan. “We couldn’t work out the dates. The dates needed for Mubaraka clashed with my personal commitments,” she said.

The commitment, a source close to Amrita reveals is her daughter’s debut film. “The whole world knows that Amrita and Saif’s daughter Sara is gearing up for her big debut. Amrita has opted out of Mubaraka so she can focus on getting the right debut film for her daughter. She had recently signed a couple of other films, which she has now opted out of for her daughter’s sake.”

There could be another reason though. Amrita had played a boisterous Punjabi mother to Arjun Kapoor in 2 States and didn’t want to repeat it in Mubaraka.
