I used to wonder whether I will get films, says Vicky Kaushal
Vicky Kaushal is one actor who made his mark with his films like Massan and Raazi amongst others. Looking back on the year, he reminisces, “While I started to work, especially in 2018, all my films were received well by the audiences and made a mark at the box office as well. So it feels good. I am happy that by the end of the year, Manmarziya released and was liked by the audiences and the critics as well.”
Initially, the actor confesses, he wondered about how he would fare. “When I began, I would keep pondering over questions like whether I would get films, and what they would be like. But when films and characters started pouring in, I started getting offers for good content oriented films. Also the characters I was bestowed upon with were good enough. So I feel happy. My next film, Uri is all set to release in 2019, and I am looking forward to it. I play an officer serving a special corps of Para Commandos,” he says.
Dwelling on his childhood, Vicky adds, “I used to think that I should join the Armed forces when I grow up. I feel every growing boy has this thought of joining the army and being able to serve the country. This patriotic feeling is common in every growing youth.”
Speaking about his profession, he dismisses reports on signing a three-film deal with Karan Johar and says. “I would be more than happy to sign a three-film deal with Karan. But this has not happened yet. I will be soon shooting for Takht my next venture with Dharma that has been announced recently, that’s it.”
In response to whether Karan was okay with his doing projects outside of Dharma Productions, he replies, “Yes indeed.”
According to media reports Vicky is secretly dating Harleen Sethi, so is marriage in the air? Vicky blushes, but neither accepts nor denies it saying, “Right now I am being invited to marriages and I am enjoying this marriage season. I am in no hurry, but marriage will happen.”
