Shraddha Kapoor to tone up for Saina Nehwal biopic
Actress Shraddha Kapoor, who is all set to play badminton player Saina Nehwal in her eponymous biopic, will have to lose some weight and get a body of an athlete before going on floors.
“I had to gain weight for Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai. Now I need to lose it to fit into Saina’s biopic. I don’t feel physically fit at all right now. My workouts have been non-consistent the past few weeks. I will get back to a regime and also get an athletic look by the time we’re ready to shoot the bipoic. I also have to be really good at badminton,” says Shraddha.
Haseena is a biopic based on Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar. Shraddha however feels that Saina’s biopic is going to be her most difficult film till date.
She says, “It’s going to take months of preparation and I really have to become a professional badminton player.”
Although she has never met Saina in person, Shraddha seemed excited to meet the sports star for her research. “I want to spend a lot of time with her. I hope she won’t find me too annoying by the end of the process!” she added.
Amol Gupte who has previously directed Stanley Ka Dabba and Hawa Hawaai will direct the film.
