Rajinikanth and Akshay faceoff looks delicious

History is about to be created when a living legend and a martial arts expert will come face to face in one epic moment. Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar will take it fist to fist in mortal combat for the climax of Robot 2 a.k.a 2:0

The film’s director Shankar and his team of action directors from the West are looking to create a never-before on-screen battle between the two superstars. However, both the actors belong to different schools of work, and this poses a problem.  

“Akshay does his stunts and hence wants the big fight to be raw, real and credible. Rajini Sir, on the other hand, wants it to be larger than life and styled with special effects, the absolute Rajni way. Accommodating these two parallel stunt performance ideas in one climax poses a creative challenge,” says a well-informed source.

“The action team suggested using a body double for Rajinikanth with Akshay Kumar which Rajni Sir refused,” he added.

A crew member on the condition of anonymity says, “We are very careful about Rajini Sir’s health. We don’t allow him to strain himself at all, no matter what the situation. Akshay, on the other hand, is always raring to go. He is at the peak of his physical power. With two such diverse talents, fireworks are bound to happen. And that will show on screen.”
