Kajol’s Bollywood silver jubilee

This week saw Kajol celebrate 25 years in Bollywood. The actress made her debut opposite Kamal Sadanah in a Rahul Rawail directed movie called Bekhudi in 1992. Gautam Rajadhyaksha wrote the movie’s script. 

The actress, who is expecting her next release VIP 2, opposite south superstar Dhanush, is surprised at the passage of time and her long career thus far. “It doesn’t feel like 25 years have passed. But I have had a good time, and by God’s grace, I will work for 25 more years,” she says, fingers crossed.

Kajol shared a throwback picture of her with her parents on Twitter to celebrate 25 years in the industry.

Kajol’s happiness also stems from the fact that her work has been appreciated, and she has the respect of fans and critics alike. “It really feels good when people take notice of your work and appreciate your work and success. I’m happy to be in this space,” she says. 

Incidentally, her hubby Ajay Devgn too completed 25 years in November 2016, as his first movie was released in 1991. “Even Ajay has completed 26 years, and it’s a happy moment for all of us,” she smiles. Now, the actress looks forward to some good work done in the future. “I don’t know,” she says. “I hope I surprise myself.”
