Kapil's heroine ties the knot with Vatsal Seth
Ishita Dutta, who makes her debut as a leading lady this week in Rajiev Dingra’s Firangi opposite Kapil Sharma, took time off from the promotion of her film to tie the knot with actor Vatsal Seth at a simple ceremony at the ISKON temple in Mumbai.
The couple was radiant and seemed happy to take the marriage vows. One of the guests at the wedding says, “It was a very small gathering at the temple. Vatsal and Ishita have been seeing each other for a year. They met when they were paired together for a television show. They fell in love and decided to get married after the release of Ishita’s film. However, Firangi got postponed by a week and the couple had to go through their planned marriage in the middle of all the promotions.”
The guest list was short. “Vatsal and Ishita had invited only 20 people for their temple wedding. Among the guests was Ajay Devgan who played Ishita’s father in Drishyam. Bobby Deol (with whom Vatsal worked in Samir Karnik’s Nanhe Jaisalmer), Sohail Khan (he was seen with Vatsal in Samir Karnik’s Heroes) and director Apoorva Lakhia among others. There was no party no alcohol or non-vegetarian food — just a a simple Gujarati spread for the 20 guests.”
Conspicuous by her absence was the bride’s elder sister, former actress, Tanushree Dutta who we are told was in the US.
Firangi director Rajiev Dingra is ecstatic over his leading lady’s marriage. “We knew about Ishita’s marriage plans. I feel it’s such a good omen that our heroine is married just a few days before the release of our film.”
