Sushant Singh Rajput feels a film's trailer is the deciding factor
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput who is gearing up for the release of his next film Kedarnath seems to be confident about the project and believes people will only watch the film if they like the trailer. “As far as I am concerned, I am very confident about Kedarnath because I have done it already. The fact that I felt the story should be told is a point enough to do it. In terms of box office, we don’t have any control but I really want people to come and watch this film.”
Kedarnath is about a Hindu pilgrim played by Sara Ali Khan, who falls in love with Muslim ‘pithu’ (the hired recruits who carry pilgrims on their backs to the shrine at the top of the mountain) and has the weather God playing the villain. The film, heavy on VFX, will hit the screens next month.
He further added, “I am also sure that if you like the trailer only then you will watch the film and whatever I do in between is not going to help. If I have developed your expectation of investing your money and time, I would really not want to disappoint my audience.”
The film’s director Abhishek Kapoor launched Sushant into films with the film Kai Po Che. The actor has collaborated with him yet again in Kedarnath and he can’t stop gushing about him “Five years ago, I was a completely different person in terms of my thoughts not as a person. I liked something in him, he liked something in me and that's why we worked together. I wanted things exactly like that when I started off and I am very grateful to him. We both have grown. As an actor, I would like to work with him again and again,” said the Raabta actor.
