Abhishek Bachchan for Nuit Blanche remake

Nuit Blanche is an incredible action film that found its way into many film festivals, apart from raking up the shekels at the box office.

Abhishek Bachchan has reached a point in his career where he is making some interesting film choices. Last seen in Manmarziyaan, Abhishek is all set to don the role of French actor Tomer Sisley’s in the remake of Sleepless Night.

The rights for the Hindi remake of the French film Nuit Blanche have been acquired by, Tanu Weds Manu producer Shaailesh R Singh who has approached Abhishek to play the cop role in the film.

“Shaailesh had earlier approached Abhishek and Aishwarya to play cops in a film based on the UP police, but had shelved the plans. But he is keen to get Jr Bachchan to play a cop again in this film which is about a turncoat cop who has a fling with the underworld and his life is in a mess when he and his partner are caught flicking cocaine from a powerful drug mafia. His son is kidnapped and he fights to get his son back from the drug kingpin. The villain’s role is also a very powerful one and Abhishek has asked for a clarification on what the final casting will be, before he inks the deal,” says a source.
