Karan Johar joins hands with Ekta Kapoor for Ek Villain 2?
Mumbai: Mohit Suri's 2014 romantic thriller 'Ek Villain' was a big surprise hit at the box office. The makers were always keen on a sequel to Sidharth Malhotra-Shraddha Kapoor starrer. Even the media reports suggested further the second installment in indeed on cards. The latest on that front is that the sequel is certainly going to happen and filmmaker Karan Johar will be a part of it.
It is being said that the Ek Villain 2 is in early stage. However, it is almost confirmed that Suri will be directing the sequel too. Interestingly, it was reported that actor Sidharth Malhotra, Ekta Kapoor and Mohit Suri were coming together for a film. There were also reports doing the rounds that Aditya Roy Kapur has been roped in as the main lead for Ek Villain sequel. Kriti Sanon was also speculated to star opposite Kapur in the film. But the star-cast and the other details are yet to be finalised. The official announcement about all details will be made once the scripting is finished.
On the related note, Karan Johar is excited about his next release 'Dhadak', which stars newbies Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kpaoor. On the other hand, Ekta Kapoor is currently riding on the super success of her last production 'Veere Di Wedding' which starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles.
