Will Saaho turn around Neil Nitin Mukesh career?

The actor played a villain for the first time in Abbas-Mustan's 2012 film Players.

With his latest release, Dassehra, tanking at the box office, actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is seriously considering changing tracks and focusing on negative roles. In recent years, or for that matter, throughout his career, Neil has seen little success as a leading man.

The actor played a villain for the first time in Abbas-Mustan’s 2012 film Players. He was also cast as the antagonist opposite Salman Khan in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Farhan Akhtar in Wazir. And his villainous role in Murugadoss’ 2014 Tamil film Kaththi opened up the south Indian market for him. Now, he’s been cast as the antagonist of the upcoming Prabhas-starrer Saaho, and that clearly seems to the path ahead.

Says a source, “Neil is the triggering point for all the action in Saaho. He has some solid action scenes with Prabhas and the climax will see the two locked in a hand-to-hand mortal combat. Of course, Neil will be defeated by Prabhas, but he will be shown putting up a great fight. The film will make him one of the most in-demand villains of Telugu cinema.”

Meanwhile, almost all of Neil’s films as a hero have turned out to be duds.
