Tinsel town's Karwa Chauth

Just like every year, our tinsel town divas have geared up to celebrate the day

This year, many actor-wives started their Karva Chauth preparations on Tuesday night and shared pictures on their social media accounts.

Tahira Kashyap, wife of Ayushmann Khurana, shared a picture of her mehendi design with her followers on her social media account, adding against it a humorous caption. “Karva Chauth in times of corona! Honestly had set out to make snowflakes (paucity of time leads to this kind of self art) until someone pointed out why would you make coronavirus!! Now blame it on my skills or mind being clouded constantly by this stupid virus wishing you all a very happy corona free #karvachauth #gocoronago (sic),” read her caption.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra, known for the huge Karva Chauth celebrations at her residence, has gone for low-key celebrations this year. Wishing her fans and followers on her Instagram, the actress shared pictures of the preparations and sargi (the pre-dawn meal for women who fast on Karwa Chauth). In the meanwhile, Shilpa’s husband Raj Kundra shared a meme of a hungry Shilpa seeing food instead of the moon on his face.

Bipasha Basu, on the other hand, shared a throwback video from last year’s Karwa Chauth in which she is seen doing the rituals. “Happy Karwachauth. Last year #karwachauth memories. We literally chased the moon and broke our fast on the street as we had a family dinner planned post the ritual. Things I make @iamksgofficial do:) and he always encourages my enthusiasm in everything. We both fast together each year, another day to celebrate togetherness and our love I love... love (sic),” Bipasha wrote alongside the video.

Besides veteran actress Hema Malini and Raveena Tandon who wished their fans on the day, Kiara Advani, though not married, helped her mother prepare for the special day and applied mehendi on the latter’s hands.
