Twinkle Khanna charged with a notice for misleading buyers
Mumbai: Twinkle Khanna has become quite the name and face ever since she has made a humorous comeback as Mrs. Funny Bones. She has become the face of a novel and her witty comebacks on social media are loved by many. It won’t be wrong to say that she has become a role model of sorts.
But the actress, who was becoming a role model, has now received a notice for misleading some buyers to invest in a project which failed to give seven flat-buyers their possession in time.
Actress Twinkle Khanna not only featured in the project's advertisements but is also accused of luring the investors.
The court has passed an order on the petition, which claimed, "She has not only lent her name to the project but actively participated in luring the flat buyers by openly declaring that the project has been masterminded by her. She is the architect and interior designer of the project. She advocated selling of the project and flat and thus she is also a service provider and the deficiency of service is also writ large on her part."
Twinkle Khanna is involved in producing the 26th January release ‘Padman’, which stars her husband, actor Akshay Kumar in the lead role with Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor.
