Sooraj Barjatya is back to the movies

Sooraj Barjatya’s last film at the turnstiles, Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo,  his sixth as a director — collected well over Rs 200 crore. But there has been no movement on the banner since the last three years.

Despite having taken a break from production, the filmmaker wants to still take his time to direct. Sooraj was quite impressed by a script and he gave it the green light. But instead of directing it himself, he has asked one of his assistant directors to helm the project.

He is not in a hurry, also because his favourite actor, Salman Khan is extremely busy.

An insider explains, “Sooraj liked a story about four protagonists, and the relationships that they share. Hence, he wants to go ahead with the film soon. But he has asked one of his associates to helm the project.”
