I have done films for money but no regrets, says Prabhudheva

Prabhu, who made his Bollywood directorial debut with blockbuster Wanted, also tasted failure in this industry.

Prabhudheva dons many hats—actor, director, choreographer—making for quite an illustrative resume to show off. And even as his body of work presents an interesting facet, he reveals that he has taken up some projects for the moolah.

“You can’t resist money; you can’t say no to money anywhere. Sometimes, I have done films just for the sake of money. I am like everyone else. But I don’t regret those projects at all, since they helped me fulfil my dreams,” says Prabhudheva.

Prabhu, who made his Bollywood directorial debut with blockbuster Wanted, also tasted failure in this industry. His films like Ramaiya Vastavaiya and R... Rajkumar didn’t exactly have a dream run at the box office. However, he admits that criticism did hurt him.

“It hurts when my films don’t work but what can we do? Criticism hurts me but all I can do is work harder. I take it seriously when someone criticises me; there is obviously some truth behind it. It’s only then you chin up and accept the fact and work harder.”

Meanwhile, Prabhu is currently busy promoting his film Mercury.
