To which Akshay had quipped jokingly, “By making Rowdy Rathore.” Well, not always things said in pure humour turn out to be true. But it turns out that the remark wasn’t made facetiously after all. Sanjay and Akshay are indeed coming together for an encore to their 2012 hit, Rowdy Rathore.
Prabhudeva who directed the first film will be directing the sequel as well.
“Rowdy Rathore 2 would not be a remake of a Telugu film. It will be based on an original script. Akshay will return as inspector Vikram Rathod who has serious temper management issues. The rest of the cast is yet to be decided,” says a source.
