While balancing her personal and professional life, Juhi Chawla has also been championing the cause of fight against plastic. The actress, who revealed that she made her husband Jay Mehta stop using plastic bottles, goes further to urge people to have an eco-friendly lifestyle.

Worried about the future of coming generations, Juhi says, “We keep complaining about pollution in the air. Who is responsible for this? What are we handing over to our children? We do not need to move mountains, but by  doing small things, we can avoid the unwanted things that are coming to destruct our lives. As I am already not in the favour of using plastics, I would like to tell every individual to use eco- friendly packaging for gifts. It can be bags of jute or paper, anything but plastic. Let’s all learn to do our own bit.”

The actress follows what she preaches, and she even refused to endorse a popular brand’s frying pans, as she finds overtime the food cooked in it becomes toxic. “A very big company of frying pan had approached me recently. I simply refused to endorse it. The reason is that whatever linings the frying pan is made with, gradually due to heat, that lining starts cracking. Unknowingly, through the food cooked in it the unwanted metal goes into our body. This will definitely slowly and gradually create some negative effect in our body.”

Pursuing the cause in full effect, Juhi believes it to be her destiny to make the world plastic-free. “God has given me this face, and people listen to me. I am thankful that I have been given this job unknowingly by the almighty, and thus I plan to carry it forward,” the actress concludes.
