The film, set in 1981, tells the story of a no non-sense income tax officer (Ajay Devgn) in Lucknow, who courageously takes on the ‘powerful corrupt’ in an effort to help the poor. Saurabh Shukla plays the main villain in the film. The confrontation scenes between Saurabh Shukla and Ajay Devgn are going to steal the show.
'Raid' is helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who previously did 'Aamir' and 'No One Killed Jessica'. The film also stars Ileana D’Cruz playing Ajay's romantic interest. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, the film is scheduled to release on March 16.
