Rohit Shetty's films are home territory, says Ranveer Singh
Ranveer Singh, will put his role as the wicked, kohl-eyed Allaudin Khilji behind to star in a typical masala film next. The actor will next be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, and states that he can’t wait for the film to roll.
Calling it a typical Rohit Shetty film, he says, “The film has a mix of masala, comedy, action, romance — it was something I was born to do! I can’t wait to start working on the film. Rohit Shetty’s films are home territory to me. That’s the kind of films I grew up on. I am an entertainer, essentially. So to reach out to the gallery is my natural way of being. I am thoroughly excited about it.”
The actor also admits people have been waiting to see the Rohit and Ranveer combination. He says, “Our combination will be dynamic. I did an ad film with Rohit and I love the way we work, and it’s going to be a great synergy… We are going to make some entertaining cinema together.”
The actor will be will be seen as a cop in Simmba. Presented by Karan Johar, the movie has been locked for release on December 28 this year.
