Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez worked in ‘Kick’ which is when news of their romance was at the peak, but things soon faded out and now they are back together, this time for Remo D’Souza directorial ‘Race 3’ and from their recent speeches, it looks like the two are still so fond of each other.

“I know Jacqueline since the time she came down from Sri Lanka”, Salman said at a media interaction.

He further revealed that Jacqueline would have done a movie with him much before ‘Kick’. “She was being cast for ‘London Dreams’. But the movie was taking some time, so she did ‘Aladdin’. Then came ‘Kick’,” Salman added.

“She is a good girl. It is good fun working with her,” he mentioned.

Jacqueline, on the other hand revealed to Mumbai Mirror about the time when Salman approached her for ‘Race 3’. She recollected, “I had started prepping for the dance film (which Salman, Jacqueline and Daisy were supposed to star in). Two months before we were scheduled to start shooting, Salman told me that we weren’t doing that film anymore. My heart sank. But then, he said we’d be doing ‘Race 3’ instead and I was thrilled to be returning to the franchise. We have made a lot of changes for the third instalment with a completely new adventure. It’s a completely different story revolving around a complicated family.”

She further shared how Salman was always friendly on the sets. “It (‘Race 3’ shoot) got over too fast. I have a lot of fun on film sets but this one was different. Salman ensures that everyone on the sets bonds and works as a team. I’ve worked on many multi-starrers, but that kind of initiative isn’t seen everywhere. Things always work differently with Salman. Every day after the shoot all of us would meet up and discuss our scenes, listen to music and sometimes just chat,” she smiled.

Reports stated that Jacqueline had recommended Sidharth Malhotra for ‘Race 3’. Ask her about the linkup rumours surrounding her and ‘A Gentleman’ co-star Sidharth Malhotra and Jackie says, “These things crop up when you are promoting a film, but when they linger longer than they’re supposed to, one needs to nip them in the bud and say there’s no truth to them. Also, because its leading to more and more stories which I don’t appreciate. I have dismissed it so many times, but people are not listening to me.”

Further revealing about the dance film (or not), Jacqueline informed, “I know it’s in the pipeline, but I haven’t had any clarity on when it would happen. I have not confirmed anything yet. After ‘Race 3’ and (Tarun Mansukhani’s) ‘Drive’, I am still deciding what to do next.”

Opening up on ‘The Girl On The Train’, she revealed, “It is such a great book and honestly I am not too fond of the Hollywood adaptation of it as I thought it fell a bit flat. It’s a tricky book to adapt for the big screen and I want to make sure that we stay true to the book. Fortunately, the director and I are on the same page in that regard, but we also have some creative differences. We will wait for that to work out as I can’t do something I am not 100 percent convinced about.”
