Kunal finds his Ram-Lakshman
Ever since Kunal Kohli announced that he would want to make an adaptation of the epic Ramayana with newcomers, he has been negotiating with various film corporates to get them to lay a hand on his film. But none of the film companies have been ready to bankroll the movie so far. Ideally under these circumstances, when a filmmaker prefers to wait, the director has found an investor to back the project till the making is finished.
“Kunal has approached a south actor to play the role of Ram and TV star Ravi Dubey has been asked to play the role of Lakshman in the film. Generally, a lot of investors are keen to back movie projects until the making is done, and so Kunal has found someone who will invest, along with some decently known names. Also, we now hear that the film will be a two-part series,” says a source.
