Nearly 20 years ago, on October 18, 1998, filmmaker Karan Johar made his directorial debut with the smash hit film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. And the Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji starrer still looks as fresh as ever.

As the 2-decade anniversary approaches, Kajol reminisces on the film’s shoot.

“It’s one of my favourite films. I was working with all my friends and we had such a blast making that film. Even today, when I think about KKHH, the first person that comes to mind is Yash (Johar) uncle,” Kajol says, adding, “It was our first Dharma Productions’ film and Yash uncle took such good care of us. We actually felt privileged to be working under him. He is one of the nicest people I have ever met, and it was an honour knowing him.”

If rumours are to be believed, Karan Johar is planning a sequel to the super hit film. Meanwhile, Kajol is busy promoting Helicopter Eela.
