Vaani Kapoor rubbishes rumours of face surgery, calls them too expensive
Mumbai: Vaani Kapoor is all set to make her comeback after making her Bollywood debut with Maneesh Sharma’s 2013 film ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, which also featured Parineeti Chopra and Sushant Singh Rajput.
The actress is hoping big with her second Bollywood outing, ‘Befikre’, which is directed by Aditya Chopra and also stars Ranveer Singh. The minute film’s first look came out, it instantly grabbed everyone’s attention and became the talk of town.
While the bold kiss between Vaani and Ranveer went ahead to become the talk of town, it was actually the Vaani’s ‘new look’ which caught everyone’s major attention.
From her skin colour to her lips and chin, people speculated that Vaani too joined the big bandwagon of plastic girls. As more posters, teasers and songs released from the film, the speculations turned into strong reports. However, Vaani kept her mum through it all.
Now with just few days to go for her film’s release, the actress broke her silence and finally addressed the rumours.
While talking to us in an interview, the actress laughed off the rumours about her getting a lip and chin surgery by saying that she isn't rich enough to afford a surgery as such. "The surgeries are so expensive! I don't have so much money to pay for it, plus it hurts so much. I love my body and just can't go through such tiring process and the pain."
Vaani also said that her weight-loss changed her body structure, as it is supposed to. "I used to be chubby. People can see how different I looked in my debut film because the character was such. In Befikre, my character is bold, sensual and sexy. I lose weight so obviously my jaw and face looks different now. My frame looks different and I am sure audiences will be able to reason the change," Vaani said.
Well, we are sure that the audiences will soon move past it once they witness Vaani's power-packed performance in the film.
