Swara Bhaskar agrees to shoot film for free

Director Karmik Varma had approached Swara for a short film titled Hawa Badlo, for the traffic police and she got on board for no charge.

Swara Bhaskar, known for her performances in films such as Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Nil Battey Sannata, recently won hearts when she agreed to do a non-commercial film, free of cost.

Director Karmik Varma had approached Swara for a short film titled Hawa Badlo, for the traffic police and she got on board for no charge. Says Karmik, “It’s very sweet of Swara, who happily agreed to be part of this short film without charging a penny.”

When contacted Swara said, “Social causes like these do not get the attention they need. I am happy that someone has initiated to bring forth the issues of the traffic police. My time is nothing in front of the service that these traffic policemen do.”

According to the director, the short movie will also be sent to many film festivals soon.
