Akshay Kumar craves Masala

After his last socially conscious film, PadMan, bombed at the box office, Akshay Kumar seems to have decided to get back to the tried-and-tested masala genre. While he has Housefull 4 coming up, he has also green-lighted another complete masala potboiler.

“The fire on the sets of the film Kesari meant that Akshay had some time to spend not just with family, but also to develop new ideas for films to work on. There are some 15 days of shooting left on the Anurag Singh directed film and Akshay has spoken to two top directors to get him a masala subject. He has already locked one of them as he wants to do something in the Rowdy Rathore genre of action and comedy with lots of dancing,” says our source.
