While Ranbir Kapoor is shooting for Brahmastra, Sanju continues to rule the box office and theatres, garnering rave reviews for the actor.  But soon after this, Ranbir will move on to his next project Shamshera.

After having worked in an intense drama like Sanju, the Rockstar actor claims Shamshera to be an aggressive film. “It’s definitely a very aggressive, intense and angry character. It is set in the 1800s and it’s about a dacoit tribe which is fighting for its rights and independence,” says Ranbir. A high-octane masala film, Shamshera, directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Yash Raj Films, will go on floors at the end of this year.

Apart from Ranbir, the film also features Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. It will be right after Sanju that fans will get to see Ranbir and Sanjay acting together in one frame.

“It is an exciting space and Sanjay is playing an antagonist. Also, it is a new collaboration for me with Karan Malhotra. I am really looking forward to starting this project,” says the Barfi actor. The film Shamshera is set to release on July 31, 2020.
