I'll ensure I don't spoil the original in Golmaal 4, says Amaal Malik

While remixes have always had mixed reactions from the audience, Amaal has an interesting answer to it.

Music composer Amaal Malik is known for composing original tracks, but for his next film Golmaal 4 he will be seen remixing the old track Neend Churai Meri from the 1997 super-hit film Ishq. However, Amaal promises not to spoil the flavour of the original.

“Today, that’s the trend, but a lot of criticism also comes the composer’s way. I want to create a lot of original music, but Ajay and Rohit wanted this song to be a part of the film. If I am reworking on a remake, I want it to be as good as the original. I will ensure I remain honest to the actual melody.”

While remixes have always had mixed reactions from the audience, Amaal has an interesting answer to it. He says, “It’s funny how everybody trashes the remixes, but all these same people demand these same remixes at weekend parties. The audience enjoys it. We composers are also helpless because we end up losing a film if you disagree to do the work. Right now, I am not in a position to say no to film like a Golmaal 4. But I am glad that I have an original and a remix in this movie.”

We like the honesty, Amaal.
